60T/H Industrial Ultrafiltration Water Treatment System

The 60T/H ultrafiltration equipment is a large-capacity membrane filtration system with a rated output of 60m³/h (60000L/H). It uses hollow-fiber UF membranes to reduce turbidity, suspended solids, colloids, bacteria and high-molecular-weight organic matter.

This system is commonly used as RO pretreatment, industrial process-water filtration and tertiary treatment for wastewater reuse. The process and membrane area are customized according to the raw-water analysis and required net output.

Applicable Raw Water

The 60000L/H industrial UF water treatment plant can be designed for:

  •  ◊River, lake and reservoir water
  •  ◊Well water and groundwater
  •  ◊Municipal source water
  •  ◊Industrial circulating cooling water
  •  ◊Biologically treated wastewater
  •  ◊RO system feed-water pretreatment

Highly polluted or high-turbidity water may require coagulation, sedimentation, multimedia filtration or another enhanced pretreatment process.

Typical Outlet Water Quality

Parameter Typical Design Target
Turbidity ≤0.1 NTU under suitable feed conditions
SDI Suitable for downstream RO design
Suspended solids Significantly reduced
Colloids Effectively retained
Microorganisms Substantially reduced
Dissolved salts Not removed by UF

Final performance must be confirmed according to the raw-water analysis, membrane selection and operating conditions.

Treatment Process

Raw Water → Feed Pump → Optional Coagulation/Sedimentation → Multimedia Filter → Cartridge Filter → Ultrafiltration System → UF Product-Water Tank → Downstream Use

The system includes automatic backwashing and can be equipped with chemically enhanced backwashing and CIP cleaning to control membrane fouling and maintain stable flux.

Activated carbon filtration should be selected only when odor, residual chlorine or specific organic contaminants require additional treatment.

Applications

This 60m³/h large-scale ultrafiltration system is suitable for:

  • RO pretreatment systems
  • Municipal and rural water plants
  • Industrial-park water supply
  • Power-plant water treatment
  • Food and beverage factories
  • Chemical and textile plants
  • Mining-water treatment
  • Tertiary wastewater reuse
  • Circulating cooling-water filtration

UF does not remove dissolved salts. Reverse osmosis or another desalination process is required when lower TDS or conductivity is needed.

Typical Project Applications

Power-Plant RO Pretreatment

A 60T/H UF pretreatment system for a power plant can reduce turbidity and colloidal matter in river water, helping protect downstream RO membranes used in boiler-water preparation.

Industrial-Park Water Supply

The system can stabilize variable surface-water quality before the water is distributed for industrial processing or sent to further purification equipment.

Factory Wastewater Reuse

When installed after biological treatment, UF can reduce suspended solids and microorganisms before RO or other reuse processes. Additional treatment may be required for color, COD and dissolved contaminants.

Municipal Source-Water Filtration

Large-scale UF equipment can supplement conventional treatment by improving particle and microbial control. Final drinking-water compliance requires suitable disinfection and laboratory verification.

FAQ

What does an ultrafiltration system remove?

UF membranes retain suspended solids, colloids, many microorganisms and high-molecular-weight substances. They do not remove dissolved salts.

Can the system operate continuously?

Yes. Continuous water supply can be achieved through modular design and automatic backwashing. A duty/standby configuration may be recommended for critical projects.

What is the difference between UF and RO?

UF removes particles and colloids while retaining most dissolved minerals. RO removes dissolved salts and produces lower-conductivity water.

How is the membrane cleaned?

The system uses automatic backwashing, chemically enhanced backwashing and periodic CIP cleaning according to membrane pressure and flux changes.

Can it treat high-turbidity river water?

Yes, but coagulation, sedimentation or multimedia filtration may need to be added before UF based on seasonal peak turbidity.
